Hello parents, faculty and friends!
Enrollment season is almost upon us, and we are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure a smooth registration process for all. We are so excited to welcome back our current students and look forward to meeting new SJS families! Our goal is to increase K-8 enrollment by 5 percent next year, which means recruiting 15 new students.
We begin with Kindergarten Preview Night, held at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 5, in the school cafeteria. This event is a chance for our current preschool families entering SJS kindergarten next year to learn about the enrollment process, curriculum and much more!
Tuition rates for the 2020-2021 school year will be released the first week of December. Of note – tuition rates will not change. Our school board and finance council have worked hard to consolidate our fee structure with hopes to introduce one rate for tuition and fees. This will help our families in the following ways:
- Fewer up-front fees during enrollment
- One total amount for tuition and fees to be paid as you have your tuition payments set up – quarterly or over a 10-month period
- Total rate will be included when applying for tuition assistance
Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) Tuition Assistance Round 1 opens Dec. 15, so plan to apply early to ensure you get the most of available tuition assistance and scholarship opportunities. Registration for current families begins Feb. 10. We also welcome Saint James parishioners to enroll at this time, even if not currently an SJS student.
New this year, all registration and enrollment will take place online. Look for more information on that in the coming weeks.
We are all entering a busy time of year, both with the enrollment process and with the upcoming holidays. Know that I am grateful and thankful for each and every one of you, and I wish you a happy holiday season full of family, fun and Christ.
