Text Box: Tradition in Faith …
The tradition of educating children in a Catholic setting was begun in Elizabethtown in the year 1870. St. James Catholic Regional School continues that tradition today. We consciously teach the Roman Catholic Church’s teachings through theology classes, prayer, worship, sacramental programs, and service to others. The teachers, staff, and parents, as a faith community, lead the students by example.

Students attend Mass weekly. Children’s Masses are prepared and lead by the students.
The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion are received in the second grade.
Confirmation is offered at St. James Parish in high school. Confirmation ages vary with area parishes.
Religion classes help students awaken a social responsibility for transforming the world through stewardship.
Throughout the year students are involved in various service projects such as food drives for St. Vincent DePaul, visiting nursing homes, and various community projects.
